DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

  • Voces Latinas' Domestic Violence program is a comprehensive and compassionate program that provides critical support to survivors of violence. Our program begins with an assessment of safety needs and assistance with obtaining orders of protection. We also offer advocacy services to ensure that survivors receive the necessary resources and support.

  • Recognizing that the impact of domestic violence extends beyond physical harm, we offer screenings for depression and trauma. We understand that mental health plays a significant role in the healing process, which is why we provide mental health counseling and support groups. We offer a safe and welcoming space for survivors to process their experiences and emotions, and to develop coping mechanisms to manage their trauma.

    We also recognize that some survivors may require more intensive mental health therapy and we connect them with outside mental health clinics that can provide psychiatric services. Our goal is to ensure that survivors have access to the care they need to heal and rebuild their lives.

    At Voces Latinas, we believe in empowering survivors of domestic violence to reclaim their lives and thrive. Our Domestic Violence program is designed to provide holistic support that helps survivors achieve safety, healing, and empowerment.

Mayo es el Mes de Concientización sobre la Salud Mental! Es un momento para enfatizar la importancia del bienestar mental y celebrar el viaje de recuperación de una enfermedad mental. 

💚 La salud mental es para todes y es esencial crear conciencia y promover el bienestar en nuestras vidas y comunidades. Unámonos para apoyarnos unos a otros y romper el estigma que rodea a los desafíos de salud mental. 
 
Un recordatorio amistoso: nuestra PRIMERA caminata con NAMI (Alianza Nacional sobre Enfermedades Mentales) el Domingo 19 de Mayo. Es una oportunidad increíble para unir manos y corazones en apoyo de la defensa de la salud mental. Caminemos juntos, generemos conciencia y marquemos la diferencia.
